With the Teammate mobile app, your phone can tell you the moment something needs you — a task assigned to you, an audit to review, a form to complete or a document to acknowledge. Tap the notification and Teammate opens on your Actions page with the item waiting.
Notifications mirror the emails you already receive, so nothing changes about your email — this is simply a faster way to hear about it. You’ll need the Teammate app version 4.0.7 or newer from the App Store or Google Play.
Turn notifications on
The first time you sign in on your phone, Teammate asks for permission to send notifications — tap Allow and you’re done.
If you said no at the time (or aren’t sure), open your phone’s Settings app, find Teammate, and switch Notifications on. Then reopen the Teammate app.
Choose what you’re notified about
In the app, go to Profile → Notifications. Every kind of notification starts switched on; turn off any you don’t want. Changes save straight away.

These toggles only affect notifications on your phone — your emails carry on exactly as before.
Not getting notifications?
Work through these in order:
- Update the app. You need version 4.0.7 or newer — older versions can’t receive notifications at all.
- Check your phone’s settings. Open Profile → Notifications in Teammate: if a warning says notifications are turned off for Teammate on this phone, follow it to your phone’s Settings app.
- Check your toggles. On the same page, make sure the category you’re expecting (for example Tasks) is switched on.
- Sign out and back in. This re-registers your phone — useful after reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone.
